The challenge

Appleby Moving & Storage has moved families across Burlington and Halton since 1986. The problem wasn’t reputation. It was the website. It gave Google little reason to show Appleby for searches in the specific communities it serves, and leads depended on promotions instead of steady organic traffic.

The plan: build the local search foundation city by city, and let honest offer testing decide what the paid campaign should say.

What we did

An audit-led website rebuild and city-by-city infrastructure first, then paid on the proven offer:
Audit-first website rebuild
Audited Appleby’s moving services and its Burlington, Halton, and Hamilton markets, then designed and built a new professional website around them. That site is what the city pages and campaigns plug into.
City-by-city landing pages
Built a dedicated page for each community Appleby serves (Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Hamilton, Ancaster, Stoney Creek and Dundas), each targeting that city’s moving searches and linked to the main site.
Built for SEO and AI search
Laid out every city page so Google and AI tools can read it: clear services, service areas and trust signals. That way Appleby can show up in regular results and in AI answers.
Expansion into five new markets
Extended the same playbook to Waterdown, Grimsby/Beamsville, Georgetown/Halton Hills, west Mississauga neighbourhoods, and Binbrook/Mount Hope, picked because they’re the areas the owner actually wants work from.
Offer testing on Meta
Ran spring-offer and box-offer campaigns head-to-head and let cost per lead pick the winner: the transparent free-quote promise won by nearly 5×, and now runs as an evergreen campaign with seasonal creative.

Frequently asked questions

Google ranks locally relevant pages, and ad clicks convert better on them. Appleby has dedicated pages for each community it serves across Burlington, Halton, and Hamilton, with five more markets in build-out.
Ads built around an offer that answers the price question. In Appleby’s testing, a free written quote with no hidden fees brought in leads at $8.04, nearly 5× cheaper than discount promotions like free boxes.
Not when they’re set up for it. Appleby’s evergreen campaign runs one proven offer and rotates seasonal creative (fall and winter themes), so it brings in quote requests without weekly changes.
New-market city pages launched August 2026; organic ranking data for those pages will be added as it accrues. Meta Ads figures: Meta Ads Manager, retrieved August 20, 2026. Leads are Meta-reported form submissions for the stated campaigns.
