The challenge

Fortress Windows & Doors manufactures Canadian-made vinyl windows and installs fiberglass entry doors, patio doors, insulated garage doors, and oversized eavestrough across Barrie, Muskoka, and the GTA corridor, all backed by an exclusive lifetime parts-and-labour warranty.
The product and warranty story was strong; the organic footprint wasn’t. In March, most of the site’s rankings sat on pages three to six of Google, where almost no one looks. Homeowners searching for windows and doors in cottage country found competitors first.

What we did

A new website built from the audit, then moving rankings up the page, one layer at a time:
Audit-first website rebuild
Audited Fortress’s window, door, and exterior product lines and its markets from Barrie down the GTA corridor, then designed and built a new professional website around them before touching rankings.
Technical SEO audit
Audited crawlability, indexing, page status, metadata, and internal linking across the site, and produced a prioritized fix list so search engines could properly read and rank every service page.
Service-focused content
Strengthened the pages for what Fortress actually sells (Canadian-made vinyl windows, fiberglass entry doors with multipoint locks, sliding patio doors and 6″ oversized eavestrough) and matched them to the searches homeowners make.
Local relevance for cottage country & the corridor
Matched the content to the real service area: Barrie, Orillia, Midhurst, Muskoka, Newmarket and the GTA corridor. That included project write-ups like the full-exterior Oro-Medonte build.
Differentiator-led positioning
Put the exclusive lifetime parts-and-labour warranty and Canadian manufacturing at the centre of page content, giving both searchers and search engines a clear reason to choose Fortress.
